Before you go, beware that there are lots of unspoken rules and customs that govern the adult industry, and which you should know about before going. Because some foreigners were unaware or oblivious to these "codes of conduct," some establishments might not be open to serving a foreign clientele. Having said that, if you are patient and willing to abide by their rules, there are plenty of establishments that will be happy to serve you.How do I find out where to go?
The streets of Tokyo are lined up with men dressed in expensive suits (and some women as well) that will try to lure you into their stores. Generally speaking, be cautious as they might promise things that are later not true. The best way to find your way around is to visit a "Fuzoku-Annai-jo." These shops provide free consultations, are easy to find, well lit and act as a resource center for the adult industry. After they ask for what you're interested in and your budget, they will introduce you to the stores that are the best match for you.A Fuzoku annai-jo relies on advertisement fees to make money. That is, adult stores pay them to guide customers to them. However, if they introduce a customer to a bad store, chances are you will never go back to ask for advice, so they tend to be quite selective about the places they recommend and can generally be trusted in their judgement.

Cabaret Club "Cabakura"
Average cost per hour: 7,000 yen – 15,000 yenThings you can do: Chat and drink with the hostesses; flirt a little bit; depending on the place you may try to arrange to meet them outside the bar, but this is not so easy.
Things you can’t do: Do not try to touch or kiss the hostesses, nor make them feel uncomfortable.

A Cabakura is a place for virtual dating and a lot of flirtation without it ever becoming more than that. This is a place for fantasies to develop, but do not expect any explicit sexual activities. You are paying for your drinks and the company of beautiful women. Many men become regulars and will often go back to visit their hostess, hoping that something more might happen, but knowing that it is unlikely. If you go back often enough, the bar and your hostess of choice will recognize you and establish a closer relation with you.Initial payment
Upon arrival you are required to pay an initial entrance fee. The host will ask you how long you are planning to stay, and we suggest you start with a basic one-hour charge, which can then be extended. The average cost is between 6,000-10,000 yen per hour, and varies depending on the time you arrive (just like happy hours at bars, cabakuras are cheaper if you arrive early), the sophistication of the place, the number and beauty of the girls, and its reputation. Your fee usually includes a drink and small snacks.Drinks for hostesses
The usher will guide you to your seat and a hostess will come and join you. She will usually ask if she can join you with a drink as well. Though technically you could refuse to buy her one, this would be quite unusual and out of place. Drinks for hostesses usually run at around 1,000 yen each, and you should probably factor them into your budgeting for the night.Chatting Time
After the drinks are settled, you can chat with your hostess. However, every 10-15 minutes a waiter will come and ask her to visit another customer. If you want her to stay, you can pay a "shimei ryo" fee which is usually between 1,000-3,000 yen. If unsure, it is perfectly ok to ask the waiter how much it would cost to have her stay with you.Another hostess
If you let your hostess go, another girl will take her place in a few minutes. She will probably ask for a drink as well and chat with you. After 10-15 minutes, the waiter will come back and the process starts again until your times expires. If there's a particular hostess you would like to sit with, you can ask a waiter to arrange it, and you will have to pay a appointment fee.When it's over
After your hour finishes, the waiter will come and ask if you would like to stay longer. A one-hour extension usually costs the same as your entrance fee, but some cabakuras offer 30-minute extension plans as well. If you decide to leave after your time runs out, simply get up and pay the bill. There's plenty of stories of foreigners who feel they've been swindled because the bill was more expensive than they anticipated. Cabakuras will rarely overcharge you, but beware that some charge a ten percent service fee, and the drinks for your hostesses accumulate as well. If in doubt, you can always ask for an explanation of your bill.Important

Average cost per hour: 8,000 yen – 18,000 yenThings you can do: Chat and drink with the girls and touch their breasts.

Description
These stores are also known as “oppai pubs,” which means a “breasts pub.” At a sekucaba customers are free to kiss their hostesses and touch their breasts. However, you are not allowed to touch them below their waistline.There's two types of bars that fall under this category; one of them offers an “all-you-can-touch-and-kiss” package, which is more expensive but allows you unlimited interaction with your hostess, while the other system only allows you to engage her during show time. These shows happen every thirty minutes, and last for three-five minutes, during which they lower the lights and your hostess will sit on your legs. ..

Pink Salon “Pin Salo”
Average cost per hour: 5,000 – 12,000 yen for 30 minutesThings you can do: Chat and drink with the hostesses. You may receive oral sex or manual stimulation.
Things you can’t do: Touch them under their waistline.
Description
At a Pin Salo the girls will perform oral sex or pleasure you manually. There's usually a 30-minute limit, but this can be extended if you pay an additional fee.How does it work?
Upon arrival you have to pay the basic 7,000-8,000 yen fee for 30 minutes. The host will show you pictures of the girls working that night together with their measurements. If you want to pick a particular girl, an additional 1,000-2,000 yen fee applies. Otherwise, the salon will choose someone automatically. If you pick someone who is busy, you might be asked to wait.You will be led to a seating area that is usually quite dark and with high walls on the sides to give you some privacy. The girl will arrive, and during the first ten minutes you will share a drink and casual conversation.
After approximately ten minutes your hostess will take your pants off (only your pants) and also remove her own clothes. You can touch and kiss her, but are not allowed to insert your fingers in her genitals. You are also not allowed to be rough. If you make her feel uncomfortable, you might be asked to leave.
Your hostess will use a wet towel to clean your genitals, and in some places they will also ask you to wear a condom. After that, it's all in her hands.
When your time is up a waiter will come to get you. If you need extra time, you can ask for it at this point, though there will be an extra charge. Otherwise head to the door and settle the bill.
Fashion Health “Health”
Average cost per hour: 12,000 yen – 25,000 yen per 45-60 minutesThings you can do: Spend an intimate time with a girl.
Things you can’t do: Insert your fingers in her genitals or have sexual intercourse.
Description
These establishments are known as “Health,” and they allow you to have an intimate moment with a girl at a nearby love hotel. You will usually take a shower together and the girl will ask you to gargle with a red medicine before you kiss. You cannot refuse to gargle as it is the catch to provide you with a health service.How does it work?
Upon arrival you will be shown a list of the girls' pictures and their measurements. You have to pay an additional fee to pick the girl of your choice. Otherwise, the health club will pick for you. You will also be asked to choose between a 40, 60, 90 or 120 minutes package. If the girl of your choice is not immediately available, you will be led to a waiting room.If you enjoy costumes, for an additional 1,000-2,000 yen you can ask the girl to be dressed like a nurse, school girl, stewardess, etc. Many places also have their own special services which vary from store to store, but which can be quite creative and exciting. If you speak enough Japanese, be sure to ask about them. After deciding, you will have to pay somewhere between 15,000-25,000 yen, but prices can vary depending on the fashion health.
After payment, you will be given a map for a nearby love hotel. At the hotel you will have to pay an additional 2,000-2,5000 yen for the room. Go to your room and wait for the girl to arrive.
Once the girl arrives, you will first head to the shower where she will help you clean up. You will also be asked to gargle at this point, which you cannot refuse. After this, you are free to spend an intimate time with her. If you are a fan of lotion, you can ask her to use it. Beware however that you cannot do anything violent, aggressive or that may make her feel uncomfortable. Your hostess can refuse anything you attempt if it makes her feel uncomfortable.
You will receive a phone call or some other alert about ten to fifteen minutes before your time is up. If you already orgasmed but still have time left, you may ask for more but she is free to refuse and is under no obligation to do so. Before your time is up, she will lead you once again to the shower room and clean your body. If you want to extend your time, you may do so but prices vary wildly at this point and you might find yourself paying a lot more than expected.
Provided you don't extend your time, you can simply thank her and leave from the hotel.

You cannot insert you fingers or attempt to have sexual intercourse. This is strictly forbidden at a fashion health. Otherwise, you are free to kiss and touch her body. She will also perform oral sex and/or provide manual stimulation.Soap Land
