A hamburger shop born in Hawaii. The wooden interior reminds one of the good old days with a Hawaiian flare. The Kua Aina franchise has 12 locations across Japan. The most popular item on the menu is the avocado burger. Ripe avocados, fresh tomatoes, and the flavorful buns all meld to make this delicious burger a consistent hit. Although it's usually crowded during meal times, this burger joint seats many, and the wait is short to none.

  • The burgers here are great, with a lot of fixings and a mound of fries on the side. There are a few locations around tokyo, I've been to the ones in marunouchi, shibuya and this one. The wait time for the burger seems a bit long for a restaurant that is laid out in a bit of a fast food manner. Other than that, you can't go wrong with the Hawaiian burger joint. This is a good lunch place too.

  • Meh, this place is no more than just alright. While Kua'Aina is better than all of the speciality burger shops I have tried in Tokyo (that does not set the bar very high -- what is the obsession in Tokyo with thin, overcooked burger patties), it is no West Park Cafe. West Park Cafe is the way to fly if you're serious about your burgers.

  • Kua’Aina is impressive on the outside, a three story restaurant that is hard to miss because of its flamboyant exterior design, but is not very impressive where it matters, with the food.
