Dr. Joe Kurosu is the head of Primary Care Tokyo. He received his MD from Yale University and also trained at the UCLA Medical Center. He maintains practicing licenses both in the United States and Japan, and used to be a physician at Tokyo Midtown medical center before opening his own practice. Japanese National Health Insurance accepted.

  • The doctor consoles patients with native English and a reassuring bedside manner. However, his understanding of "primary care" is very different than that which is practiced in the West.

  • Dr Kurosu and his assistant Tae are superstars. Having a baby is stressful enough- Dr Kurosu could always fit myself or my baby in for a same day appt and usually within a couple of hours from when I called.   • Excellent doctor. He speaks native English, is very patient, friendly and has a great bedside manner. Easy to talk with, patiently answers questions and provides thoughtful and excellent advice. I cannot recommend him highly enough, especially compared to a recent previous experience in an "international clinic".
