A great place to find all the latest in kid's toys. It is noisy and overcrowded, you will be elbow to elbow with other customers. They offer gift wrapping which is a nice touch. It is convienently located next to Oriental Bazaar in Harajuku.

KiddyLand!! I love KiddyLand! If you aren't a kid, it's okay, you're sure to recognize a lot of these Japanese icons they sell here. If you're my age, some of them might even cater to your own childhood memories. The store is set up really nicely and is easy to find from the street. This was absolute heaven for those us who adore the 'kawaii' (cute) icons of Japan. It has several floors that have both Pokemon, Hello Kitty, and other lesser known figures in contemporary Japanese pop culture. I spent over three hours in the store, pouring over my favorite icons. You could lose hours staring at all the goodies in this shop. On the first floor I'd say there's a general showing of items such as: face banks, ponyo (new release), doromo (the square brown guy), solar powered chill bobble heads, humping dogs powered by usb ports. you get the idea. Whenever I go to Harajuku, I know that an inevitable stop is going to be at Kiddyland. I know that I have to stop in to check out the newest line of Monokuro boo merchandise, the simple black&white pigs by the merchandise company San-X. I can't imagine a cartoon character that is not available for purchase at the massive Kiddyland store in Omotesando. They even have cartoon merchandise of some old cartoons I didn't even remember anymore, like "My little Pony."
