Liberty Media store 8-go-ten, literally, store number 8, has eight floors full of figures, plastic models, and toys. This is the biggest Liberty store in Akihabara. Watch out for the blue sign that says “Figua, hobi kan” by the entrance because nothing else indicates the entrance to Liberty store number 8. Kamen Rider, Super Sentai and other super hero toys welcome you at the entrance level. Anime character goods and mini figures are collected on the 2nd floor. Gundam fans are usually overwhelmed when they come up to the 3rd floor because nothing else but Gundam related products are sold here. 4th and 5th floors both sell toys - 4th floor carries mainly anime characters and 5th floor sells non-anime toys and figures. The store offers an impressive collection of Star Wars and other non-Japanese character goods. Great variety of gashapon on the 6th floor. Model guns and military stuff are on the 7th floor.

For instance, they have models of trains tha... Read More

  • For any car enthusiast, Liberty 8 is definitely the place to go. They specialize in all sorts of car and motorcycle miniatures. Liberty 8 was just one of the several Liberty stores in the area. When looking for it, you need to make sure you are going into the right Liberty because otherwise you won't be able to buy your car. Inside, it was very clean and professional looking and had the feel like ... Read More

  • This is a small store that is located very close to the station. It’s kind of a little run down building, but I think it adds to the atmosphere of being at the heart of Akihabara’s authentic video games soul. With old neon lights in the windows, if you came here at night you’d think you were in Blade Runner. Upon entering you are greeted with a host of floors starting with consoles and going... Read More
