For the American staying in Tokyo, this is a nice store to visit. It has a lot of the comforts of home you might be missing that are hard to find in the infinite amount of shopping areas here. I specifically go for the candy, my only true weakness. There are other fun things in here too, but they're a little expensive. What price can you put on getting rid of a little homesickness, though? My cousin introduced me to the shop when I visited her during her stay with the Embassy. She said it was the closest she could get, since the compound store was a little lacking in that department.
This is a great place to go stock up on anything you may be missing from the U.S. Though they have several items, including make up, cards, and clothing, the best part is definitely the food. They have everything--from root beer to gummy bears to guacamole. Though everything is overpriced, if you're missing something from home definitely come here.
Plaza is exactly like Loft (if you’ve ever been) though less expensive. It offers make-up, snacks, accessories, toys, magazines, etc. I actually had a reunion here with some childhood friends: the Care Bears.
