Seats at the counter are 300 yen. Join the "rock, paper, scissors" contests and win prizes (the contests are held randomly during the day). You can have your picture taken with your favorite maid for 500 yen. @home is one of the easiest places for maid cafe beginners to get a feel for what these places are like.

No offense, but I always thought that Maid Cafes are for wierd Otakus. However, I was wrong. My thought changed 180 degrees and found myself enjoying it. It really takes courage to go alone, so I visited with my girlfriend. We were able to get in quickly since it was weekdays. Ok, so I've been to about 3 maid cafes so far and this was the only once I couldn't stomach. Perhaps due to it's popularity or some freak accident, the smell in the vestibule before you get inside was overwhelming.
