AJALT is a recognized Japanese language school by the Ministry of
Education operating since 1970.
All of our teachers undergo rigorous training and have on average more
than five years of experience. Moreover, many of them are involved in
writing our textbook series.
2. Japanese for your needs
We teach Japanese to people of many different backgrounds, including
foreign residents, business people, diplomats, academics, expats,
students, refugees, etc.
Our instructors can customize a program for every student to help them
achieve their goals, be it everyday conversation, business
interactions, diplomacy or others.
Some of our instructors have a business background, and we offer
specialized training in business Japanese.
- Japanese for Busy People
- Japanese For Busy People is a concise course for "busy" students who want to learn natural, spoken Japanese in a limited amount of time. This worldwide best-selling series was prepared by a working group of experienced Japanese language instructors who revised and tested the material in an authentic classroom environment. Now the series is being thoroughly revised to make learning Japanese easier than ever.
- Japanese for Professionals
- Japanese for Professionals is a serious and detailed manual of the language of trade, commerce, and government, aimed at intermediate students who work with Japanese on a daily basis. Thirteen lessons introduce common business situations' first-time meetings, directing subordinates client negotiations with key sentences, and a dialogue to illustrate how Japanese is used in a business context.
Precise definitions for all new vocabulary and lucid explanations of grammar, idioms, and cultural differences provide the reader with powerful communication tools for the office. Exercises and quizzes have been included to help students check their progress, and four lessons have been set aside for review. Busy professionals will find the bilingual glossaries a useful reference even after completing all the lessons in this clear and extremely helpful textbook.

- - Classes are offered for all levels- from beginner to advanced.
- Group lessons are scheduled regularly and offered at the AJALT office in Kamiyacho.
- The class size is small with only three to eight students.
- Beginners' courses -Core Competence Course-
- There are 5 levels of classes in the Beginners' Course, each of which comprising 60 hours of lessons. The entire course consists of 300 hours of lessons.
After completing the Level 1 class, you will have a basic command of the language and will feel more at home in Japan. After completing the entire course, you will be speaking Japanese with confidence.
