  • I have a few friends that are studying at Coto right now and they love it! I have visited a few times and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is super convenient because it's right by the station, and they have alot to offer the students. Really nice and comfortable atmosphere for learning Japanese.

  • I took 3 months of intensive courses here over the winter and the experience I had was wonderful. I am an upper beginner and I really liked the small class sizes and practical lessons. During the lessons, I was offered many chances to speak up and it was really engaging. I love the way my Sensei teaches. She was able to correct my mistakes naturally through conversation. It was something that I d... Read More

  • I searched for a Japanese language school in Tokyo and found out about Coto Academy. I decided to study here for 2 months to improve my business Japanese. The location is very convenient for me because it is only around 15 minutes by train from Ikebukuro Station. Also it is very near to Iidabashi Station. There are a lot of restaurants around the school, so I had a great time hanging around with m... Read More

  • I was thoroughly pleased with the communication between the administrative staff and teachers. One thing that I really liked was if I said something grammatically incorrect, the teacher always told me what I said wrong and fixed it. Also, if a nuance was not quite the same in Japanese, the teachers would try their best to help provide other ways to express what I wanted to say. I took normal eve... Read More

  • What makes me engaged in Coto Academy is a friendly atmosphere here that encourages me to speak Japanese. Not only did I learn Japanese in class but I also had a chance to discuss various topics about Japanese culture with my classmates after class. Coto provides students with a very comfortable study space that they can self-study, or practice Japanese in the most efficient way. I really enjoyed ... Read More

  • Coto Academy is a great school for those who do and don't speak Japanese. I am currently taking an intensive course with Coto Academy, however, I have taken other classes as well including business course, which helps you learn how to communicate and understand the Japanese work environment. I highly recommend this school, it has helped me so much with my Japanese you would think I have been speak... Read More

  • I took a 2 months beginner course here and i really enjoyed my experience overall . My teacher was very patient and kind when she taught us hiragana, katakana and kanji! Classes were small (about 7-8 of us) so I was able to speak and practice more during lessons. The staff were very friendly and they spoke English to us when we were struggling with our Japanese. Really had a good time there but I ... Read More

  • I studied at Itabashi Language school for about two years, taking private lessons twice a week. I can vouch for the quality of the lessons, particularly those of Ms. Sumtani and Ms. Suzuki. They were both very friendly and professional, and made the most out of the 50-minute period. They were well-prepared for every lesson, were able to quickly asses student needs, and adjusted their approach acco... Read More
