Laox is a home electronics chain with stores mainly in the Kanto area and twelve in Akihabara alone. This Hon-ten, literally, the main store, sells all the basic electronics including computer related items and digital cameras. Floors 4 through 8 work as a duty free shop with electronics for overseas use, cosmetics, perfumes, and gifts. The staff speaks English, Chinese, Korean and Spanish.

  • Went to a hundred different electronics shops down the street and found relatively the same price for the mp3 player I was looking for at all of them. This place is HUGE! It's a maze, be ready to through the whole thing like a fun house. I did find these awesome pair of Sony sports-style headphones I used for running.

  • I was very unimpressed with LAOX. Their signs proudly display how many languages their employees speak and they hand out fliers clearly showing what is on each floor. However, each floor is much smaller than I would have imagined and the selection is quite small. They did however have surprisingly low prices on the cosmetics floor.   • This being the main store, it’s much bigger and much more specialised than its Duty Free counterpart. I was really impressed with the general design of the store, which makes it very easily navigable, due to its fairly formal and square shop design.   • This home electronics store is a 7 story building that has all the different electronics you could need for your home or personal use. They have everything from TVs and Ipods to Air Conditioning units and massage chairs. Each floor has its own theme and has a sign displaying everything it has in both English and Japanese.
