I'm in front of my computer for 16+ hours a day for work, and thus do not need many functions i.e. internet on my phone. I only use my phone to do mobile emails among friends when I get lost on the streets.
That said, I just needed a prepaid phone, and I chose to go to this Roppongi branch because they offered service in English.
After getting the ticket, I was immediately greeted by a lady and... Read More
Softbank is a racist company! But they have the monopoly on the iPhone in Japan, so we have no choice but to deal with these jerks. I went to the Roppongi Softbank to upgrade my Iphone from 3G to 3GS and they refused me. I've lived in Japan for 5 years, had and Iphone for 1 1/2 years with Softbank, but no 3GS for me, cause I'm not Asian. Unfortunately racism is legal in Japan, so I suppose I'm luc... Read More
Both my husband and I are going to change phone companies. The service at the Roppongi Branch is awful. Over the past year, they have decreased their staff. On the weekend our in the evening you will be waiting for over an hour.
The staff are very rude, perhaps this is because of the fact that they are overworked and understaffed.
I never realized how painful it would be to get a phone. It took me over three hours to complete the process. The staff was moderately friendly (there are English speakers on staff; very helpful) although they looked frustrated near the end as well. I had all of my necessary documents, and went with a Japanese speaker, but it still took a ridiculously long time to go through everything.
It was a... Read More
my personal experience was a 5-star. might be because of the situation (not a new contract) but i thought it was nice and i felt extremely satisfied after leaving.

The experience wasn't terrible nor was it great.
To this day, i still don't know where i am supposed to pull out a ticket number. however, usually there are several employees standing nearby the service counters waiting to direct such people. I ask for an english speaking person (they notify by wearing a flag pin of the languages they can speak).
The store is quite large and has a basement f... Read More
This place is conveniently placed within Yodobashi Camera so you can get a phone service plan in addition to your phone and accessories. It’s in addition to the SoftBank store within the same mall area as Yodobashi Camera.
The shop is more like a small hole in the wall with booth-like counters and not-so-great lighting?not at all like the classy and posh style of the stand-alone SoftBank shops... Read More
I came to this SoftBank after visiting another much farther away (see my review for SoftBank in Yokohama) and found it equally as class but busier and having MUCH better service. I brought my American phone and wanted to buy a SIM card and a prepaid plan; I had been told at SoftBank Yokohama that this would be possible so long as I brought my Alien Registration Card.
My attendant here in Roppong... Read More
I visited this SoftBank on a visit to Yokohama and noticed that it was very classy and not very busy. I came here to get a SIM card for my American phone which, according to my phone company back home, is capable of being used in Japan with a Japanese SIM card. It turns out that I also need an Alien Registration Card or a Certificate on Foreign Matters to get one so I just asked about the products... Read More
