  • Sofmap had a great selection of electronics and gadgets. I looked in a bunch of large electronic stores and either couldn't find what I was looking for, a wired usb cord, or they didn't cary it. The staff at sofmap was extremely helpful and lead me to the section, which had a very wide selection of various usb and usb cord devices. The store itself is also very easy to naviagate The best part about this store was the service.

  • Sofmap is probably the best of all shops when it comes to computer hardware and software, and is also the biggest retailers of used products. If you’re a little hard up on cash this is the perfect place to gain a wide selection of old parts, and put them together to make your own budget PC. Or if you’re not up to that, they even have their own selection of used PCs for you to take away with you. This is the best place to get hold of a bargain, and even with used items you’ll get at least a month’s warrantee if not more, meaning that you shouldn’t worry that the item won’t work when you get home. This is not a store that sells “Junk material” like some other stores do. Also Those Pc enthusiasts who sit home tinkering on their motherboards, and attaching huge fans to their power hungry processors will be in heaven here. You’ll find graphics cards, computer peripherals, game devices, monitors, cases, hard drives, memory, you name it. It’s all here.

Those who are nuts on video games should also find their paradise since they have all the latest and oldest selection of games, consoles, DVDs and more. Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, amongst all the others you’ll find here.

Since Sofmap is not aimed at the typical tourist and foreigner in mind, if you can`t speak Japanese, you might have problem finding Japanese staff around, but you never know, I found one who could speak a few words, but he couldn’t explain in depth what I wanted to know. Basically the more Japanese you know, the better service you get here. I found that they were really professional, and especially helpful when I was buying used goods in that they informed me everything about damage, what’s missing, warrantee etc.
