This small art gallery and theater is located within minutes from Ikebukuro station. While it's probably not worth making a special trip to Ikebukuro for it, if you're in the area, and seeing the other sites of Ikebukuro (such as Sunshine City), it's definitely worth it to step in for a moment and see what they have on exhibit. When I was there, they had a fabulous photo exhibit which lasted only 3 days but contained some of the best photography I've seen--it rivaled Smithsonian's Natural History Museum's photography contest winners. There was also a neat exhibit on calligraphy displaying so many styles and versions of Japanese. Both of these exhibits were free but perhaps others have had entrance fees. There was also a theater inside but it looked not very foreigner friendly as the galleries had been.
