sorry to say, but ice cream is always good, so I can't really say "blargh" there. The prices are somewhat steep to me, probably the same as american prices though
- single scoop 330
- single kind scoop 400
- double small scoop 430
- that's as much as i can remember, but they have this nice laminated sheet, where the pricing is laid out with pictures, so just point to the the scoop ya want. on back is the container options.
All i have to say is Thank god they only have 31 flavors. so hard to choose!!! what's nice is that the taste spoon is still available here, so taste away.
I sampled the ichigo milk, which well, tasted like it. Also tried the holiday one, which was OK. I ordered Nuts for You and the alcoholic one, purple and yellow color.
well, the alcoholic one tastes just like sherbert. Nuts for You has a strong cappucino flavor and not as much nuts in it as you'd like, but well, there's still nuts. The caramel one is nice, straberry cheesecake tastes exactly like strawberry cheesecake.
Otherwise, there's some "only in Japan" flavors, i think: musk melon, matcha, popping shower... can't remember the other ones. I really wanted to try Dolce for Vampire though.
There's also 6 packs and 12 packs available, single scoops in a cup. no cones though.
Thirty one flavors, and there is nothing wrong with that. Especially since, like the other branches of this chain in Tokyo, there are two or three flavors that change every month, there really is nothing to not love. If it weren't for the small store size and the long lines always found at these stores, I'd probably go every day. So...I just get a hand-packed pint to go and stop by once a week. The staff does their absolute best to be fast (and they do a pretty good job, too). Especially considering it's the type of place that attracts a LOT of children crashing from their last sugar high.
This Baskin Robbins is located just next to the Azabu Supermarket in Hiroo, thus making it almost impossible not to stop there after some grocery shopping. As a typical Baskin Robbins, the store had the general flavors and monthly flavors. I had some amazing Hazelnut Dreams. It was so good and I forgot how much I missed American ice cream. It's certainly worth the stop if you're in the area and are feeling nostalgic.
