In 2007, the National Art Center was the fifth public art museum to open in Roppongi. The museum has 14,000 square meters of floor space and hosts a large number of exhibitions of famous Japanese and foreign artists. The museum also has a restaurant, a café, and souvenir shop. The building was designed by the world-famous architect Kisho Kurokawa (known for designing the first capsule hotel, among other things), and the swirling design is part of highlights.
