  • Got thrown to the floor by the security for carrying my drink outside. I called the police but they wouldn't listen. Ruined my week and am still trying to file a report with the police. It might not happen to you, but why go to a place with a nasty vibe?

  • This bar seems to be more of a gay pick up spot recently. We turned up on a Friday evening and it was nearly empty apart from a gay couple making out and a few Japanese businessmen. Watch out for the unpleasant security too - we got hassled because we wanted to sit away from the gay guys - but the bouncer was really rude and aggressive. The music was awful too.   • Lousy. Rude staff and bad service. Security guys beat up my friend last night for smoking with a drink in his hand outside. Don't spoil your night!

  • Very disappointed! Cheap drinks, but aggressive, unpleasant bouncers, bad music and almost empty on a Friday night. Felt embarrassed to bring my friends there.

  • Seeing this place without people in it, with the "super rad" red lighting and suave bartenders, you could swear this was a posh, heavily frequented bar.   • I went to A971 at around 2:30 in the morning, expecting it to be lively. The decor is nice, and the drinks (I got a cosmopolitan) were good. There weren't too many people. Those that were there were already in their small group, and didn't seem interested in interacting with new people.   • Oh A971. You can't really go wrong with the 500 yen beer, but you can go wrong with the clientele. I would imagine that the place is getting a bit more quiet now that so many finance types have been sent home or lost their jobs.   • This is the new Heartland, the place to pick up or be picked up early in the night. They offer some JPY 500 beers which is a good deal for the atmosphere, but do not fall victim to the mojitos.
