The Gold Rush specializes in hamburger steaks. The patties are made of 100% beef, flavored with over ten kinds of seasonings blending together to offer a taste like none other. The demiglace sauce takes two days to marinate and the effort pays off. The "cheese hamburger" is most popular amongst Japanese customers. The extraordinary harmony between the cheddar, beef, and special sauce defies definition--you'll have to experience it for yourself. The sauce is poured onto your piping-hot plate right before your eyes, a wonderful effect for the appetite, but the liquid tends to splatter a bit: remember to guard your clothing with paper napkins.

  • Given the new year in Tokyo usually finds it essentially a ghost town and a scarce supply of restaurants in operation, we chose the Gold Rush headquarters outlet in Shibuya to visit on January 1.   • Outside this somewhat American restaurant, you will find a Harley Davidson store with numerous bikes out in front. I went up the elevator to the fourth floor restaurant and it opened up to a bricked restaurant that had a smokehouse sort of atmosphere.
