Homework's was the first gourmet hamburger place in Tokyo, dating back to 1985. A casual restaurant located on the shopping street at Hiroo, their buns, patties and vegetables are all top notch. Their avocado burger is popular with both the Japanese and foreign crowd that often fill up the space. Deliveries available for orders over 2,000 yen. They run branches at Roppongi Hills and Marunouchi under the name "The pantry."

Forget everything you know about burger joints in Tokyo, for they all bow in reverence to Home Works. I decided to take the family here on the written reviews and we were pretty happy when the fries and shake came as both were done absolutely right. The problem was with the burgers. They taste like they're made out of paste with no seasoning. I can't believe people actually like them. Seriously - you have a better chance of getting real beef at McDonalds.
