1 Review for Outback: Shinagawa

  • I think that I have become quite spoiled living in Tokyo for over a decade because it seems to me that the food tastes all the same. It is a casual dining experience, somewhere you would go if you are hungry but not needing to be inspired and/or impressed. The blooming onion makes a nice talk piece but make sure you have antacid in your medicine cabinet.

  • There are 3 tables outside on the deck, and during busy hours, they'll have an assortment of soft drinks in little paper cups while you wait. They also have Metropolis Mag and TNB handy at the inside waiting tables. The music they play is rather pop and hip-hop, which is funny and cool. The food is large-portioned, so people w/ small stomachs beware, you may want to team up with someone and share... Read More

  • Outside of not having to tip, a slight decrease in options, and a slight increase in price, Outback Steakhouse is just as it is in America. The dining tables are set up in the same open air manner, and you get the complimentary bread and butter (refillable as requested). They also employ several people with at least basic English, but with restaurant experience, anyone can get by. The lowest pric... Read More

  • The first thing that will catch your eye when you enter this restaurant is the coziness of the atmosphere! Whether you're on a date or out with your family or friends, the atmosphere will make you feel at home immediately. They have a wide range of food you can order on the menu, and one of the appetizers I would recommend is the Chili Cheese Fries they got there.

  • Being Australian, this place made me feel right at home. The food is great and offers a range of meals and not just steak type dishes. The price of the meals and the drinks is quite reasonable for the quantity and quality you are recieving. It's quite busy on a weekend night and there will be a wait.

  • Outback says they are famous for their steaks, but in Japan, their best meals are not the steaks, which have been known to be tough. Their chicken plates, rib plates and prime rib dishes are excellent and if you are craving a big meal with nearly too much food Outback Steak House is a good place to go. With appetizers and beer, things can get a little pricey (comparatively speaking.) They also ... Read More

  • A tucked-away location but worth the walk from the station. The interior of the restaurant is far classier than the chain's American locations and has the feel of a classy winery restaurant. While they do have an impressive wine collection, the feature that pushes this restaurant from good to very good is certainly the size of the beers. The mugs approach a liter in size, making you wonder if f... Read More

  • I think that more than the food, the atmosphere of Outback is why a weary American may want to go there for a dinner or a drink. It feels strikingly similar to the Outbacks in America and the food is all more or less the same. The staff is ll really friendly and most understood English pretty well. They also brought over an English menu which is nice for people who can't read Japanese.

  • Of all the chain restaurants in Asia, Outback is fairly consistent in their quality throughout. You don`t exactly rave about it in the states, but when you`re in a far off land and fine an oasis of familiarity, you go with it. Decent to good steaks (depending on the day) especially when Lawry`s down the street will cost you your left manhood for a comparable steak. Same cheesy decor abounds ... Read More

  • It's very refreshing to know that once in a while in Tokyo, one can find a full-service restaurant with generous portions, service above expectations, proper cloth napkins, and broad menu at very reasonable prices. This American owned franchise in Japan will make your food the way you expect. Complimentary, unlimited honey bread graces our table immediately after ordering. Our typical order... Read More

  • No rules, Just right! This Outback Steakhouse brings back the memories of home and taste and feels just the same. The restaurant looks like any other Outback in America and the food was just as good. All the waiters spoke English and there are English menus available. As soon as I walked in I felt right at home. We were seated at a booth and had a beautiful waitress serve us. The bread, like alwa... Read More
