Chef Hideki Kawamura is a famous pastry who has won several baking competitions in Japan and France, as well as being an accomplished cookbook author. His store is highly rated, and worth the detour to Kichijoji.

  • Elegant and delicious desserts, the croissants are wonderful (and I usually don't even like croissants). TV cameras are often filming in here and I heard some customers say that they had come from Chiba to find this shop. There isn't any parking which is a pain. Hubby drove around while I ran in, bought a ton of stuff, ran out, and we triumphantly made off with our goods.
