Tokyo Guide > Tokyo Restaurants > French > Benoit
The Tokyo Michelin guide 2008 awarded Benoit one star, recognizing it as an excellent restaurant in its category. Benoit is the branch of a Paris-based bistro that dates back to 1912, and which is currently owned by the Alaine Ducasse group. The food is traditional French and the interior was designed by famous French architect Pierre Yves Rochon. The room is split between two floors; the first houses the bar and the second the dining room. The oak floors were imported from France, and together with the lush garden, they give the feeling of being in a French house at the turn of the century. There's a weekly lunch menu that includes an appetizer, the special of the day and ice cream for 3,000 yen.
