1 Review
The Tokyo Michelin guide 2009 awarded Chemins one star, recognizing it as an excellent restaurant in its category. French-inspired cooking in a room flanked by impressive windows and lots of natural sunlight is what those lucky to get a reservation will enjoy. The owners opened Chemins in 2002 after training in France. Their produce comes primarily from the Tsukiji market daily, but they also bring ingredients from farther away. The Sea-bream poele is one of their specialties. The grilled and slightly charred skin of the fish provides for a great contrast with the succulent meat. The dessert menu is creative and full of interesting combinations, while over 500 wines give diners plenty to choose from. They do have a dress code; short sleeves, shorts, t-shirts, and other kinds of light, casual clothing are strictly prohibited. They also will not admit any children under the age of 12 onto the premises. Lunch menu costs 2,800 yen or 3,900 yen.
