The Tokyo Michelin guide 2009 awarded Narukami one star, recognizing it as an excellent restaurant in its category. The chef-owner Narukami Masakazu originally trained as an Italian chef, only to find his way later on to French cooking. After working at several Michelin-starred restaurants in France, he returned to Japan and opened his own restaurant in 2003. The food is seasonal French, and the chef insists on using local products.
