A small, yet affordable French restaurant located right next to the TBS tower in Akasaka. Be sure to arrive early during lunch time, because it fills up very fast. The food is light, and sometimes quite creative. A good wine list available as well.

  • Now it has been renamed to "pour toi" same food though, cosy little French with chef cooking almost in front of you if you are sitted at the bar.

  • Luckily I must have been on the day the chef decided not to smoke. However, his attitude was certainly apparent! Actually, it is quite amusing if you go with the expectation that he will "entertain" you with his antics. I didn't find the open kitchen unpalateably dirty, but I was seated fairly far away. (Or maybe I'm just fine with a little grease as compared to one of my friend's restaurant... Read More

  • There’s nothing refined about Asterix, but the food is an amazing deal. Additionally, although it may come off as terribly French, I'm generally not k... Read More

  • In the heart of black limousine territory you'll find a little subterranean gem of a French restaurant called Asterix. The lunch sets are very reasonably priced and quite generous. On one visit I chose the 2000 yen lunch set and had a lovely smoked salmon on crepe for entree, sirloin steak with pepper sauce for the main, followed by a tasting selection of the house tarts. The delicious fresh bread... Read More
