Tameike Shokudo 溜池食堂 French / Tameikesanno

About a minute’s walk from Tameike-sanno Station, there’s this casual French restaurant. The shop is down a flight in the basement, and is about 20 table seats wide. For lunch, you can choose between fish or meat for your main dish, which comes with coffee and either buns or rice, all for 1000 yen. They’re always crowded with groups of women who work in the area, so we recommend you go a little early to beat the rush. Other than that, they also offer curry?the portions of which are unusually large, so this dish is popular with the guys. For dinner, it’s easy to get one of their course meals, starting from 3000 yen.
