  • Lovely people who offer excellent service, but the food is overcooked and underwhelming. I won't be back anytime soon.

  • Ho mangiato gli spaghetti al pomodoro di verdura e la carne rossa per colazione... Every thing was delicious and the place with a good atmosphere. I felt happy to listen to the great italian opera songs.

  • Arena Rossa is clean lines and pleasant ambiance, great for a contemplative date or just getting away from the city. The decor is classy and minimal, like the Florentine villa it is trying to imitate. Arena Rossa was pretty empty at weekday lunch time. We were led upstairs and greeted by silent, white tablecloths and a nice green view on an Akasakan backyard.
The menu is pretty simple - 2 or three lunch specials. My friend and I ordered "beef" and the daily pasta, respectively. Both dishes were pretty good, although both applied green beans too liberally for my taste. The pasta was linguine, with chicken and a light tomato sauce. Good tomatoes. The beef was tender, simmered in wine, accompanied by not-too-soggy veggies and a stack of cheesy potato slices.
At 1,000-1,500yen for lunch, I think this is good quality for the price. I might go back, we'll see. Probably for dinner though.
