Aoyama choujan is a soba shop famous for its delicious tempura. The neat interior reminds one of a Japanese restaurant managed within a classy hotel. Local businessmen fill the tables for lunch, and lines are not uncommon. For dinner, the restaurant transforms into a "bar where they serve soba", as many come after work to enjoy side-dishes with shochu, and finish off their meal with soba. We also recommend tempura dishes such as the anago-don (rice with eel), whose fresh ingredients and thick sauce are a famously delicious combination.
