Tsukiji Tama-sushi is a popular sushi chain in Tokyo that fish of good quality for reasonable prices. This particular store, however, doesn't have the all-you-can-eat deals that have made Tama-sushi so popular.

  • Nothing about Tamazushi will revolutionize your idea of sushi, but the quality is good enough to merit a visit for a sushi meal without breaking the bank. For 2,400 yen I got a set consisting of eight pieces, two of which were chu-toro (tuna belly), and one of sea urchin (uni), plus a beer. After you've finished your yellowtail, tuna, or salmon, you can just ask the guy to make you more of anything you want, to order. I know, because I tried it. Tamazushi is underneath Ginza's main avenue (Chuo). There was about a 15 minute wait when I got there on a Friday night - not so bad. Tamazush... Read More
