Katsukichi: Shibuya かつ吉 Tonkatsu / Shibuya

This popular shop has been serving its traditional tonkatsu for more than 40 years. Descend a dignified stone staircase to face the basement entrance to the shop. The interior is set up like an old-style house, with antique plates and vases up as decorations and an abundance of warm wood and warm lighting, making for a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. Set meals come with three kinds of pickled vegetables, salad, miso soup, and rice, all of which can be switched out at will, so we recommend them for diets too. They’re a little expensive, but their organic jumbo fried shrimp are a great value.
