Since its opening in 1924, Okotako Honten has been popular for its oden, soaked in Kanto-style soy based broth. The simplest and most popular lunch is tou-meshi - tofu soaked in oden broth and served over rice. The tofu flavor soaks into the rice. At night, Okotako turns into an izakaya which serves oden, yakitori, and various kinds of sake and shochu. Set courses are available, from 3,500-5,200yen.
