2 Reviews
The Tokyo Michelin guide 2009 awarded Sankame one star, recognizing it as an excellent restaurant in its category. In business since 1946, this restaurant has quite the following, including many famous authors, politicians and businesspeople. The chefs serve Kansai-style Japanese food using only the freshest of ingredients. Seasonal products like sungan, trout, conger and blowfish make periodic appearances, while other dishes like Hirousu (a steamed shrimp ball), are available year-round. The owner is quite friendly and not without a sense of humor. Both a la carte and tasting menus are available.
