  • Yokoyama has been in business since 1895 dealing in Japanese antiques and modern crafts. We specialize in original screens, woodblock prints(ukiyoe), contemporary woodblock prints and shinhanga.

    Our main store is in Kyoto, and we run two stores in Tokyo at the Okura Hotel and Narita Airport. We are happy to work with you to find a piece of art that suits you best, as well as answering any questions you may have on traditional Japanese art.

  • Yokoyama makes original screens -- Byobu -- to order. All of our byobu are made in Kyoto (hence they are called kyo-byobu) by a skilled paper craftsman and an excellent painter. We are confident in our ability to find a motif of the four seasons in Kyoto that suits you. Because our byobu are made to order, it takes between one and two months to complete a request.
