They managed to modernize old Japan in a very comfortable and not in your face way. Wa is becoming more and more popular in Japan and The Cover does a nice job at doing it without taking away the old flare.
It's found right in Tokyo midtown and isn't very hard to locate. The prices are typical and the atmosphere was really nice; something I wasn't used to while shopping around Tokyo.
This store reminded me of Shanghai Tang. That's not to say that everything were stylishly in bright pink and green silk but the concept of stylishly modernizing the traditional style, in this case the Wa, is common. The ambience is quite the contrary to the store of Shanghai Tang. The fabrics, the furnitures, and the small little decorative things that filled the cool lit store were all strikingly modern and tranquil. A good place to get inspiration on where this modern Wa trend is going.
